Melonie C. Bush
My name is Melanie C. Bush, the daughter of Derrick and Vanessa Choice. I was born and raised in Tyler, Texas and attend Starrville C.M.E Church, where I have been a member since birth. It was at Starrville where I was christened as an infant and also where I accepted the Lord into my life.
While growing up at Starrville, I was an active participant in Rossie T. Hollis, Mattie E. Coleman, and the CYF Ministry. I held various positions in these ministries and learned a great deal in the area of service and leadership. I was also active on the district and conference levels as well. Currently, I am the Young Adult Ministry president and a member of the Inspirational and Young Adult Choirs. I am eager to strengthen my relationship with God and learn more about my role within the C.M.E church.
I am a 2006 graduate of John Tyler High School. After receiving my high school diploma I studied at the University of Texas at Tyler and received my Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I currently hold my certification to teach all subjects for grades 4-8. In August of 2012, I was blessed to gain employment at Chapel Hill Middle School as a 7th grade math teacher.
In my time of leisure, I enjoy reading, watching good movies and spending quality time with my family and friends. I am also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
